Aubrey A. Schultz, Sr.

Aubrey A. Schultz, Sr. was the Chief Emeritus
of the Clinton, MD.  Volunteer Fire Department and a retired Maryland State
OSHA Inspector.  Mr. Schultz, a lifetime
resident of Clinton, devoted nearly 50 years of service to the Clinton V.F.D. His leadership in the capacity of Chief and later President, was
inspired and innovative in all aspects of fire protection, from apparatus design to fund
raising, and propelled the department to the modern efficient organization it is today.  He served in Korea during the early 1950’s as a S/Sgt. in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; later he worked for the C & P Telephone Company, the Washington D.C. Fire Department (Engine Co. 10), the Clinton Fire Department, Inc., and the Maryland Forestry Service.  Aubrey touched many lives in the fire service both as a teacher and a friend. Although he is no longer physically with us, the men and women of the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department will continue to feel his presence every day. Whether it is polishing the chrome hydrant or feeling the pressure of a crooked finger in your chest, Aubrey, rest assured you will be missed and never forgotten.
