THE AWESOME ANGELS ARE BACK (AGAIN!!)
by Sally ~ September 21st, 2008. Filed under: News, Training. For the second year in a row, the Clinton Ladies competition team, the Awesome Angels, brought home the majority of the competition trophies from the recent county convention, winning five out of the eight ladies’ convention contests.
Last Saturday, they took two of the five contests. For the second year in a row Stef Tice won the Skill and Agility contest (you go girl!!). The ladies also won the running gear contest and placed second in bucket brigade. Forestville Ladies won the Bucket Brigade and Battle of the Buckets contests; Branchville Ladies won the Tug of War.
Yesterday at the second day of competition the Angels swept all three ladies’ contests: dry hose, spaghetti, and standing hook-up. A VERY SPECIAL THANKS TO THE MEN AND WOMEN OF FORESTVILLE VFD WHO LOANED US THEIR PUMPER SO WE COULD COMPETE IN THE STANDING HOOK-UP. THEIR SPORTSMANSHIP AND FRIENDSHIP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
This year the Angels team was composed of Stef Tice, Ginger Henderson, Jennifer Cross, Candace Kent, Mary Beth Johnson, Chrissy Potter, Jennifer Malenab, Amy Cross, and Sally Brown.
