On Tuesday May 29th 2012, Engine 251 was dispatched as the fourth due Engine to 7801 Locust Lane in Fort Washington Maryland. Engine Company 32 arrived on the scene to find a 1 and a half story single family home with a fire in the Basement. Engine 251 was directed to supply Engine
Company 47 who had laid a secondary supply line to the residence. Once this task was complete, engine 251's crew was directed to report to Side "Alpha" and stand-by. the fire was quickly brought under control by Companies 32, 47 and Tower 21. Engine 251's crew stood by to assist with Rapid Intervention in the event of a Firefighter Emergency. Company 25 returned to service within an hour.
