Kara Small was awarded the Chief William F. Perry Memorial Award by the Maryland Fire Chiefs Association (MCFA) this past weekend. This is , we believe, the first time a female and non Chief Officer has been given this recognition. (Now some may argue that Kara IS the Chief at home and "Probie" would probably agree) This award is presented to a person who has made a significant contribution to the welfare of the MFCA during the past year. In Kara's case they recognized the many hours over the past several years she has served in making the Maryland Fire Chiefs Association activities, records and events work efficiently and reflect positively on their leadership. Way to go Kara, we are very proud of you!
