Cold Weather Tip: Use Space Heaters Safely to Prevent Home Fires
Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

January 2, 2026

Stay warm, but give that heater some breathing room. 🔥🧯 Space heater safety tip: Keep at least 3 feet (about an arm’s length) between your space heater and anything that can burn like curtains, blankets, furniture, clothes, and pet beds. Plug it directly into a wall outlet (no power strips or extension cords). Place it on a solid, level surface, and turn it off when you leave the room or go to sleep. A little space now can prevent a big fire later. 💛
