| I would like to send out a huge "Thank You" to the men and women, and spouses of those as well, who took part in the events over the weekend of February 19th and 20th. I myself sometimes forget how much you all sacrifice to be a volunteer in a county/station that is so demanding. However, on February 19th as I rode from one end of the county to the other, you, the members of Clinton Volunteer Fire Department, were able to throw together crews and place in service apparatus to protect the citizens of Clinton and surrounding areas. So many people dropped what they were doing to come and battle the fires, saving so many houses and properties. For that I am truly thankful and also proud to call myself a volunteer at CVFD. Without your undying dedication to the department and our community, I don't think it would have turned out the way it did. Thank you to Chief Small, Assistant Chief White and President Maine for coming to the station when I called for help and putting together a plan to deploy and feed those who worked all day and through the night. No words can even say how much I appreciate what you have done. Thanks goes out to all members, both active and associate, who helped in this time of need.
