| Chief Marc Bashoor presented Clinton VFD with a citation for our work during themultiple fire event during February. The award was accepted by Board of Directors member Bob McGhee, (a Clinton Volunteer) on behalf of both career and volunteers members. The Citation will be placed on display in the common area of the fire station. A special pin commemorating the Fire Storm was also displayed. All who were involved with the February Fire Storm are authorized to receive this pin and wear it on their uniform. Due to budget constraints the chief only gave five pins to be shared by the many many volunteers and career personnel who battled through and defeated the February Fire Storm. The chief then presented the same citation to a representative of Brandywine VFD for their work in Fire Storm.
The following attended the ceremony: Ashley Butler, Bob McGhee, Dave Rucker, Martin Padgett, Keith Hopkins, John Rivera, Justin Rucker, Pop Yandell, Tom Grannis, Brian Cheeks, Nicki Miskell, and myself. As stated above a number of them were not there when the Fire storm Award was given out. Also in attendance were County PP Buddy King and Fire Commission member Charlie Phillips. |
