National Night Out

The Clinton Volunteer Fire Department took part in "National Night Out" on Tuesday August 2, 2011.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:
• Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
• Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;
• Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
• Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Members participated in helping to make the community aware of the services provided by the volunteers of CVFD and passed out many fire prevention items to children and parents alike. While at the District 5 Police Station (located off of Brandywine Road), we were partnered with members of District 5,Prince Georges County Police, our local Park Police officers and a host of community organizations and local politicians. It was evident that everyone was there to show their pride and support for being part of the Clinton community. Members attending the event were: Chief Robert Small, Deputy Chief Christopher White, Secretary & President of the Ladies Auxillary Sally Brown, and members Kara Small, Lawrence Moore, Brian Cheeks, Kyle Freeman, Ginger Henderson, Karanaida Alban, as well as two aspiring members, Shenika and Carmelita.
