Remembering the Heros of 911

The Clinton Volunteer Fire Department remembers September 11, 2001. We honor the 343 FDNY firefighters who gave their lives, all those lost at the Pentagon, the World Trade Center, and aboard Flight 93, and the first responders who later died from 9/11-related illnesses.

Here in Clinton, these attacks were close to home. Local fire departments stepped up as crews responded to the Pentagon, while at Andrews, members of the D.C. Air National Guard took to the skies, prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our Nation’s Capital.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and service shown that day.
