Clinton VFD Life Member, Robert Charles Yandell Jr., known as Bob, passed away at home on July 7, 2024 surrounded by his family at the age of 74 in Edison, Georgia. Born on March 4, 1950, in Paducah, Kentucky, Bob dedicated 21 years of service to the United States Air Force, from 1968 to 1989, where he developed a distinguished career as an aircraft mechanic.
Bob was a man of humble nature and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Gina M. Yandell; his sons, Robert (Bobby) C. Yandell III and his wife Mandy, Dustin M. Yandell Sr. and his wife Shylah; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert C. Yandell Sr. and Marilyn Yandell; his brother, Raymond Yandell; and two grandchildren.
After his military service, Bob continued his career as an aircraft mechanic at US Airways and American Airlines. In the early 2000's Bob served his community as a volunteer firefighter in Clinton, Maryland, where he demonstrated his caring and loving nature. In 2014 Bob moved to Edison, GA with his family and continued his career as a aircraft mechanic at Commercial Jet. Bob's humble characteristics left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
The family has announced that no services will be held. Bob's legacy of devotion, care, and unwavering love remains a beacon for his family and friends. |
