The One and Only Kenworth Pumper
The 1976 Kenworth/Pierce Open Cab Water Supply 25 Pumper went into service in 1976 and was identified as Engine 252, a front line pumper. In 1985 it was re-identified as Water Supply 25. It was dispatched to all multiple alarm fires and any non-hydrated areas in Prince George's County Maryland.
The unique paint scheme found on this unit appeared on their apparatus in 1955 and is still used on all Clinton Volunteer Fire Department apparatus. This truck carries two nicknames, "The Whisper Jet" and "KW" and is the only one of a kind built in the world.
After giving over 30 years of service, Water Supply 25 was retired from service in early 2007.
This truck is dedicated to the late Mr. Aubrey Schultz, Sr. who devoted nearly 50 years of service to the Clinton VFD. His leadership as Cheif and later President was inspiring in all aspects of fire protection, from fundraising to apparatus design.
