The 2014 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb and 5k walk were held at the Gaylord Hotel at National Harbor on September 13th. This event honors firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. Decked out in their firefighter gear Clinton Volunteer members Jim Murphy, Justin Rucker and Clinton Career firefighter Chyna Richardson climbed the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Proceeds from the climb and walk benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation who create and maintain programs that support fire service survivors.
