Early in the hours of January 2nd at 0200 hours, Truck 25 was alerted to Cherry Tree Crossing Road in Company 40′s(Brandywine) area. Units arrived to find a one story, end unit auto body shop with fire through the roof. Once it was determined there was a fire wall, the crew than forced entry to several doors to allow the engine crews to deploy hoselines on the interior. It was determined to be at least 8 vehicles burning inside the building. Command than declared “defensive operations” and the crew deployed the ladder pipe. It was determined that master streams would not be utilized after the safety officer declared the building safe to enter. At this point, Truck 25, along with Truck 3 (Waldorf), Engine 121 (Waldorf- Westlake) and Engine 361 (Baden) entered the building and overhauled and extinguished the remaining fire.
